The Tooth Incident

So yesterday morning, I was working in one of my foster homes talking to one of my foster parents. I got into the car and had like six missed calls on my cell. Long story short, Trenton had fallen in gym class and broken one of his two front teeth in half. Basically it was half as long as it used to be. Poor kid! So I met Scott at the dentist and took over because he had to get back to work. I do have to say Trenton was a trooper. The dentist was great too. After he took the x-ray, Trenton was like, "Can I get a copy of that please and thank you?" Then before my very eyes, in about thirty minutes, Trenton's tooth was as good as new! They couldn't save the pieces to his original tooth, but they made it so he will be fine until he is a teenager! Amazing! So here is the golden smile. Can you tell which tooth was the broken tooth? If you can't tell, why should we?

Delaney's 1st year photo shoot

For those of you who did not see Delaney's first year pictures, here are some of the ones we ordered. Kelli and Greg Drake did a great job. They came to our house and followed my daughter around which made Delaney more comfortable to be in her own environment. Check out their website at www.drakephotoonline.com for more of their beautiful work!

Isn't she pretty?

PJ's

Don't you just love summer pj's? I sure do! Here is my beautiful daughter in some cute piggy pajamas. I sure do want to squeeze her!

We got them out because it is finally feeling warm outside in good old central Illinois. Speaking of animals, Laney is learning what different animals say. She first learned the sheep says baaa. The cow says Mmmmm instead of Moo. The newest is the duck says cack cack. She only says that if she is in a really good mood or if she sees a duck. My nephew who just turned two on April 11th can recite all of the presidents in order. Laney, you have a long way to go, but we are proud of you!!!

Easter 2009

The Easter bunny came to the Wilson household this past Sunday and left the kids some goodies. Trenton got some outdoor toys and some books, while Delaney got some clothes and another fake cell-phone (she loves them!). After breakfast, the Wilson family headed to St. Joseph, IL to Aunt Pam and Uncle Tim's. We had some good food and Laney got to participate in her first Easter egg hunt. She called the Easter eggs balls and definitely was more interested in playing with the first egg she found and not finding any more than that. Here are some pics of last weekend. We hope everyone had a good holiday!

The Wilsons catch up with modern technology

This is a test...I repeat this is only a test. If this were a real blog posting, there would probably be some pertinent information about the Wilson family. We are definitely new to this...so stay tuned for actual posts from us!
